Resources for the Social and Human Service Needs of Your Students
The "How Can I Help? Engaging Others to Support the Social and Human Service Needs of Your Students" workshop led by Bia Vieira on November 12, 2008 reviewed the responsibilities a teaching artist when presented with personal or community issues in their work. The discussion reviewed the basic guidelines for engaging others within your organization and community to support children and families dealing with issues that can range from behavioral problems to health care to suspected child abuse.
